TMS Turns 100

It is time for another sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches and this one will really get ya thinking. This sketch was really different! I scheduled this post more than a week ago so hopefully it goes on without a hitch. By the time you are reading this, I will be hanging with my sister, hopefully at the beach!

Luckily for me I had a ton of red buttons that I used for all of the small circle. For my image, I used these cute little owls from Stamping Bella. The background paper is from My Mind's Eye.

Have fun playing along this week too. Check out the design teams blogs for more great samples.

June Blast from the Past Blog Hop

It's time for the June edition of the Taylored Expression Blast from the Past Blog Hop. This month's theme is "Old Glory." The only stamp I had that would fit this description was from the Year of Sweets set #2. Cuppie is watching fireworks on 4th of July.

For my card, I used a ton of different design papers from Close to my Heart and Gina K. The bottom of the card is layered with strips of grass from the Die-namics Grass Border. The sentiment is stamped on the Layered Label Die-namic die.

See below for all the the wonderful cards on the hop.

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club X2

It has been a while since I had the chance to play along with the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club, but I had two cards to make for this weekend so I pulled out the last two sketches and set to work.

The first sketch is this week's sketch #25. I used the set called Flapper Doodle-I Love Us. The background paper is My Mind's Eye-Stella Rose. I used a bunch of Die-namics too.

My next card is last week's WSC sketch #24. I used Clearly Sentimental About the Journey. I just loved this sentiment when I saw it and knew it was perfect for my grandmother's 90th birthday card.

We have a busy week ahead so I may not have time to post much. Stay tuned for the Taylored Expression Blast from the Past blog hop here tomorrow!

Tuesday Morning Sketches 99

Welcome to another week of Tuesday Morning Sketches. This week we are back to a sketch. Yay! I LOVE sketches! This week's sponsor is Sparkle Creations. I have followed Sparkle forever, but this was the first time I have had the opportunity to use her stamps. Being a mom of two boys, I was lucky enough to get a boy stamp. Thanks Sparkle! Below is this week's sketch.

For my card, I used a mix of design papers from My Mind's Eye. This stamp is called Turntable Josh. I added some Die-namics Music Notes and the Notched Tag as accents.

Be sure to check out the TMS Blog and join the fun!

Tuesday Morning Sketches 98

Welcome to this week's edition of Tuesday Morning Sketches. This week's challenge is not a sketch, but an inspiration challenge. Angela picked this cute picture and you get to interpret it however it inspires you. The sponsor for this week is Tiffany Doodles.

My card uses an image from Tiffany Doodles. Isn't the forsythia image cute. There is a touch of Crystal Effects on the glass container. I used the Lily Bee paper pack called This and That for my design paper. The quote on the bottom is from MFT's Fred Bear set called "Oopsie Daisy." I love the rest of the sentiment. It says, "I'd pick you every single time."

My card also uses the June Sketch 4 You To Try. Have a great week!

Wednesday Stamp Club 23 and CPS 221

This has been a good week for stamping. Probably because it is too hot to go outside. What tastes better on a hot day than ice cream? My first card today uses the Pure Innocence set called "Make Mine a Double." I paired it with the Echo Park paper called Summer Days.

My next card uses the Taylored Expressions set called "Moka Olivia." I paired her with the My Mind's Eye Lime Twist paper pad called Happy Go Lucky. The mini gift bag is a die from Taylored Expressions and it is stamped using the coordinating stamp set called "It's in the Bag."

Keep cool!

Taylored Expression Sketch Challenge 139

I just loved the Treasure Life stamp set as soon as I saw it a few months ago. The jars and the shells and all the other goodies are just so sweet. I would have jars filled with shells in my house if I could. As it is, I do have one bowl layered with shells that the kids and I have collected from our many beach trips. I filled in the image with Crystal Effects and then cut them out. The main image is layered over a medium Decorative Doily Die-namic die. The wave across the bottom is also a Die-namics die. The design paper is from Cosmo Cricket.

Have a great day!

Mojo Monday 194

Here is my card for this week's Mojo Monday sketch. I used a bunch of scraps from my box. Most of them are from My Mind's Eye. For the flower, I layered several Die-namics dies including Double Scallop Border, Decorative Doily, Perfect Petal Trio, and Rolled Daisy dies.

Stay tuned for more stampy goodness tomorrow.

Tuesday Morning Sketches 97

Today is my first official day as a designer for Tuesday Morning Sketches! I couldn't wait to get started. Below is this week's sketch. This weeks sponsor is Whimsy Doodles so play along for a chance to win some free digital stamps.

For my card, I used this cute little guy mowing the lawn. This will make a great Father's Day card. I used a mix of design papers from My Mind's Eye. The sun and grass are both Die-namics dies from My Favorite Things. Then I added some Twinery twine and a wood button to finish the sketch.

Remember to stop by the TMS blog and play along!

MFT Guest DT Challenge June 2011

This month's theme for the MFT Guest Designer challenge is "Get Personal." I chose to use a project I was planning on doing for my grandmother's 90th birthday. I made the invitations for the party a couple of weeks ago and am in the process of making the favors for each place setting with a collection of verses from Proverbs 31. I made her a shadow box with each of these inside and left space for a picture of everyone at the party and maybe on the sunflowers from the table arrangements. I used a bunch of Die-namics on this card including Oopsy Daisy, Dizzy Doily, Decorative Doily, Fish Tail Banner and Rolled Daisy.

Below is a close-up of the invitation.

This is a closer look at the favor and banner.

That's it for today!
